Treatment
The Magazine: Blitzed
Target Readership: Blitzed is the publication of Elliott Saul Productions. The readers of Blitzed are aged 16 - 19 but the magazine could be read by younger audiences who look up to thier older siblings. The readers of Blitzed have grown up in a music changing era. Drum and Bass is the new type of music which is popular for students. Blitzed is for the new generation and is interesting for them.
Form and Style: Blitzed is an A4 full colour magazine which contains drum and bass artists interviews , tips for deck mixing, advertisements for concerts and film reviews. Covers show drum and bass artists on the front cover with cool white grey and black backgrounds. Cover lines will show the magazine as hip and cool, showing whats new for drum and bass and who are the most popular artists. Graphics used are bold and eye - catching. Also the cover with be full of images and sub - titles which will make the magazine good for money to the audience. The magazine will sell at £2.00, an affordable magazine for students, making it affordable and profitable.
Themes and Typical Features: Blitzed will have many regular features of that in a drum and bass magazines. Every issue will include interviews, concert venues and reviews of films and televison programmes. It will also be reviewing the latest music, videos and games. The writers will use language familiar to the target audience to make the magazine interesting and allowing the reader to realte to the magzine.
Potential Advertisers: A range of brands will advertise in the magazine each week particulary those with an interest in looking cool, particulary clothes such as; drum and bass logos, Etnis and DCs.
Editorial Teams: The editorial team for Blitzed will be made of creative and experienced disigners of Elliott Saul Producers. The team will be mainly made up of drum and bass fans aged up to 26, however, the readers of the magazine will also be asked to add to thheir ideas. The team is to bring fresh ideas to the target audience whilst also having great experience.

Textual Analysis of Magazine Cover 2
The strapline above the title makes it clear of what the magazine is about, "The world's biggest dance and clubing magazine". This makes the magazine look very popular and interesting. The title "Mixmag" tells the reader that the magazine is about mixing music and the alliteration makes the magazine more rememerable. All of the sub-headings gives the reader a taste of whats inside the magazine, which highlight the main parts in the magazine.The brown colour makes the sub-titles stand out more and makes them eye-catching. Also Having them in front of the picture grabs the readers attention informing them about the magzine. The man on the front page looks cool by his glasses and his stance, this shows the magazine being cool and hip.

Textual Analysis of Cover 1
The magazine I will look at is XX. The front cover is complicated because, Kanye West has been flipped which makes it interesting. Having the white background makes Kanye and the title of the magazine stand out. Also having Kanye in black and white draws more attention to him.
The titles "The Exculsive Story" and "Special Collector's Issue" explains whats inside the magazine and that Kanye West is the main focus. Also making it sound like a collectors issue makes it special making readers buy the magazine. Having Kanye in black and white makes him look rich and popular, this also makes the magazine look expensive and up to date.

Megan Fox's picture is on an advertisment board outside a stadium, this grabs the readers attention, because she is hot and famous. Lots of people like Megan Fox so people would be intested in the advertisment, and would go onto the website shown at the bottom of the page. Having her in black and white and the background red and blue makes her standout which makes the ad stiking.
Articles - Lilly Allen, Miss America, Who the hell does Ross Kemp think he is? these arew some examples of some intervies in the magazine. The celebrities are well known so it would grap the readers attention. Q is a magazine which takes a new look on music and inteviews different celbrities about music, this makes the magazine interesting making it successful.

Articles - In My Mind, Cooley High, these are a coupleof examples of articles inside the rap/hip-hop magazine. The titles of the articles suggest that the people being inteviewed are cool which grabs the readers attetion. The Source is a hip-hop magazine so the articles are about rap artists and modern ganster like people.
